Reactions where you get your injection are the most common side effects of Yeztugo. They’re expected, and most people find them mild.
Lumps (nodules)
A lump under the skin is also called a nodule. The medicine forms a small pool in the fat layer under your skin and releases slowly over about 6 months. Your body reacts to that pool, and for many people it feels like a lump. This doesn’t mean something went wrong.
- Very common. About 6 in 10 people get one.
- Size and feel. About 1 inch wide. Most people can feel it but can’t see it.
- How long. Many months. Some last close to a year, getting smaller over time.
- No lump? Yeztugo still works.
What else you might notice
- Pain. About 3 to 5 in 10 people. Usually lasts a few days to a week.
- Redness, swelling, itching, bruising, or warmth. Fewer than 2 in 10 people for each. Usually lasts a few days to a week.
What can help
- Ice before and after your injections.
- Numbing cream before your injections.
- Pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, if they're safe for you.
- Wear loose clothing over the spot, if a waistband or strap rubs it.
- Warm or cool compress for soreness.
- Tell your clinician about lumps that bother you.
